Hate posting on social media? This LinkedIn routine attracts clients anyway

If the idea of “doing LinkedIn” makes you want to crawl under a blanket and hide, you’re not alone. I used to feel the same way.

So this week, we’re talking about how to make LinkedIn work for you, even if social media isn’t your thing. You don’t need to post every day or turn into a networking machine.

Instead, we’ll show you a quiet, 15-minute-a-day routine that helps keep you top of mind with potential clients in a way that feels calm, purposeful, and maybe even a little enjoyable.

For Writers Who’d Rather Do Dishes Than Post on Social Media (But Still Want Clients)

If you think that LinkedIn is only for those shouty bro marketers and corporate-style humble-braggers, you might want to think again. Or if you're someone who’d rather hide in the pantry than post ... but still want clients knocking on your (inbox) door, then this post is for you.

Using LinkedIn DMs to Connect with Potential Clients

If you missed this last week, you'll want to read it this week. Treasa explains how to successfully do cold outreach on LinkedIn. This is something that a lot of people either avoid altogether or just get plain wrong.

Book: The Intentional Networker: Attracting Powerful Relationships, Referrals & Results in Business by Patti Denucci

I interviewed author Patti Denucci on my Online Business Launchpad podcast (Making Small Talk Matter - The Power of Purposeful Networking) and was intrigued by what she had to share about networking (the good kind, not the slimy kind). Patti brought together more than 25 years of research, experience, and wisdom on the topic of business socialization to create this book on networking with intention.

Wrap Up

As you can no doubt tell from this week's blog post, despite my loathing for social media in general, I do find myself enjoying my time on LinkedIn a lot more than I used to. Because if used as a way to build genuine relationships, you're much more likely to end up with clients from your time spent there.

So get out there and give it a try.
